How To Clear the Internet Cache in Firefox 2

Clearing the Internet cache from Firefox 2 is often necessary to solve certain web page and browser problems that sometimes occur.

The Internet cache in Firefox 2 contains locally saved copies of recent web pages you have visited. This is done so that the next time you visit the page, Firefox can load it from your saved copy which will be much faster than loading it from the Internet.

Clearing the Internet cache in Firefox 2 is completely safe and should not remove any important data from your computer.

Follow the easy to follow steps below to clear the Internet cache from your Firefox 2 browser:

Time Required: Clearing the Internet cache in Firefox 2 usually takes less than a minute

Here's How:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox 2.
  2. From the Firefox menu options, choose Tools and then Clear Private Data....
  3. In the Clear Private Data window that appears, uncheck all checkboxes except for the Cache checkbox.
Note: If you wish to clear additional forms of "private data", feel free to check the appropriate boxes. They will be cleared with the cache in the next step.
  4. Click on the Clear Private Data Now button.

When the Clear Private Data window disappears, all of the files saved (cached) from your Internet browsing activities will have been removed.
